And so the flight training begins! These are a few pics of my introductory flight, in a Robinson R22 helicopter with the registration ZS-RTA (Romeo Tango Alpha), at Virginia Airport (FAVG) in Durban, South Africa. What a machine! (little did I know that this would be the machine that I would later do my first solo flight in and develop the closest bond to). The instructor on board with me is Mr Koos Myburgh. This flight took place on 05 February of my Matric year, in 2005. The flying bug bit me! And hard! From then on, I was hooked! The feeling of flying, the feeling of being able to hover!
