Flight Log: {003}
17 January 2006, my first official flight training sortie, with the late great "Solo" Van Rooyen in command. The excitement could not be contained! Starting off with a very thorough pre-flight inspection of the helicopter, both inside and out, in order to identify any abnormalities or dangers that may adversely influence the performance of the aircraft in flight. Learning about, and feeling the effects of the helicopter's controls, in flight, in real-time! Nothing like it! It was so incredible to have this machine responding to my every minute input on the controls. The machine in the discussion, ZS-RMT (Romeo Mike Tango), a Robinson R22 Beta II.
